Great raptor activity at Trondheimsfjord hides

An unusual cold December has caused very high activity on our feeding sites for eagles in the Trondheimsfjord-area.

The Golden Eagle photo hide near Stjørdal (http://www.bird.dintur.no/photo-hides-norway/golden-eagle-trondheimsfjord.aspx) is good as always. Two adults and a subadult bird usually pay the bait a visit twice a day. The low winter sun makes light conditions on this site incredibly good right now.

The raptor hide next to the fjord near Levanger (http://www.bird.dintur.no/photo-hides-norway/golden-and-white-tailed-eagle-trondheimsfjorden.aspx) has also been very productive lately. Three different White-tailed Eagles, one adult Golden Eagle and a 1st year female Goshawk frequent the bait regulary. Norwegian nature photographer, Tommy Furre Holmstrand, shot these pics of a White-tailed Eagle today.
