Spring is here, finally. Pink-footed Geese have arrived in thousands, the mud-flats along the fjord team with waders like Bar-tailed Godwit and Purple Sandpipers. Over 900 Long-tailed Ducks, 1000 Velvet Scoter and 3000 Common Eiders are feeding only 15 minutes away from the Trondheim Airport, and both King Eiders and White-billed Divers are still present in the fjord.

Up in the mountains it is still snow, but birds have started to prepare their breeding anyway. Rodent situation is good, so both Rough-legged Buzzard, Tengmalm`s and Northern Hawk Owl will breed this year. Capercaillie and Black Grouse have started their lekking, and our photo hides are ready to welcome visiting photographers. Siberian Jay still visits our feedingstation up in the mountain.
